Dressage at Addington

Tedworth Pony Club at Under21s-UK Dressage Championships at Addington on March 13. 4 PC members who also do BYRDS - Georgia King, Abbie Newbury, Chelsea Pearce and Oli Thompson - took part in these Winter Championships and all did very well with excellent Scores. Oli Thompson had a field day in the Under 11 Fledgling Section winning one Test and coming second in the other and was Best Boy and best PC Rider!! PHENOMENAL RESULTS FOR TEDWORTH AT AVON VALE JWS COMPETITION 21/2/11

18 Tedworth members made up the 7 teams we entered for the Avon Vale Jumping with Style competition this half-term. We had some completely outstanding results including several wins both team and individual with every single team being placed.! This is a monumental achievement by any standards but particularly since we are relatively such a small Pony Club compared to the size of some of our neighbours!!!! They were tricky, twisty and technical courses requiring skill and accuracy which makes our members' successes all the more impressive. SO MANY MANY CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR TEAMS WHO rode so beautifully and WITHOUT DOUBT MADE A HUGE IMPACT !!!! Finally and as always a special thank you should go to Laura Hatteea for all her help and guidance with the training which has been invaluable!

****** TEDWORTH SUCCESS AT NATIONAL INTER-SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! ******

The TEDWORTH had a formidable presence in 3 different school teams all of which were well placed!!! As I am sure you know they have to qualify to compete at the Champs so quite an achievement to get there in first instance let alone hold it all together to produce such great results - you would have been very proud!!!!! They all thoroughly enjoyed competing at such a prestigious venue and what a joy it was for us spectators - all very civilized!

OCCIE WOOLGER (Heathfield School team) a very close 2nd in the INTERMEDIATE SHOW JUMPING

CHELSEA PEARCE, BARNABY SYMONS, INDIA RYDER, HARRISON HATTEEA(St Francis School team) came 2nd in the 75cm JWS class with 4 double clears (one of only 2 teams to have no jumping penalties in top 8)

CHELSEA PEARCE was 5th in 75cm individual JWS class

CHELSEA PEARCE WON the 85cm individual JwS on a magnificent score of 2!!!!!

BEN RYDER (Pinewood School team) came 4TH in the 75cm SHOW JUMPING

BEN RYDER was 9TH individually in 85cm SHOW JUMPING (.3 of a second out of top 8!!!!)

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who rode in SYSTON on 28/11/10, and for ALL THOSE FABULOUS RESULTS! Thank you also to all you dedicated parents who were incredibly efficient and made it possible!

Tedworth had a very good day overall with all the teams putting in some great performances!

Are you insured ?

I have been in touch with Windsor Partners Limited, the Pony Club's
Brokers, to find out what Public Liability cover is available. Members
of the Pony Club are of course covered, but we have been wondering
whether parents and other individuals simply helping a child with the
pony, whether by looking after it in the holidays, driving it to
rallies, tacking it up at shows, &c. are also included in the cover.
The broker has now told me that such individuals are included in the
member's Public Liability cover. There is one restriction, though,
namely that the Pony Club policy will cover such an individual only if
he or she does not have separate Public Liability cover.
